Bali, Indonesia

Bali, sometimes referred to as the Land of the Gods, draws visitors with its breathtaking natural splendor, which includes magnificent volcanoes and lush terraced rice paddies that emit serenity. It is regarded as a surfers' paradise too. Bali charms visitors with its dramatic dances, colorful rituals, arts, and crafts, along with its lavish beach resorts and lively nightlife. And temples with intricate carvings may be seen all throughout. Due to Bali's location 8 degrees south of the equator, you can expect a tropical climate that is warm and humid throughout the year with two distinct seasons: the Dry Season and the Rainy Season. Most of those peaks in some of the regions around Bali's core highlands (volcanoes) are more than 3,000 meters above sea level. Gunung Agung is well-known among mountain climbers. You can start your trek through Sebudi village or from behind the temple. The Balinese religion forbids anybody from standing higher than the holy temple, especially when rites are taking place, so be careful to first obtain permission from the temple officials.
