So, here we go with yet another list of sunny winter destinations for 2022. Digital nomads want to be able to work from anywhere, interact with others, and some of you enjoy engaging in outdoor activities in the pleasant sun. So, if you want to shake off the winter blues, there are some incredibly not-so-popular destinations that you may not have considered. Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is ranked as one of the top destinations for digital nomads. Known for its white sandy beaches and hiking trails, Cape Town has also been nicknamed the Mother City. There are several great co-working spaces in Cape Town that will make your remote work amazing. There are many fantastic venues with great amenities, breathtaking views, and top-notch coffee, whether you're searching for a monthly rental or a hot desk for the day. Great places to visit in Cape Town are Mountain National Park, Blue Flag Beaches, Boulders Beach, Kirstenbosch, and National Botanical Garden. Cape Town is one of the three capital cities of South Africa known for its scenic views and immense culture. South Africa does not have a digital nomad visa yet but nomads can stay up to 90 days in the country. Activities like kayaking, paragliding, wine tours, safaris, nightlife, and food markets are what attracts a lot of digital nomads to Cape Town. Some of the great places for digital nomads are Greenpoint and Sea Point. These are some of the safest parts of the city too. You can also join the Facebook group for coworking meetups. Bangkok, Thailand

A few months back, Thailand's Government announced that Thailand will offer a 10-year visa to skilled workers and investors starting September 2022 and remote workers are eligible. If you are into sandy beaches and bustling streets, Thailand is the destination for you. Bangkok is a vibrant, multifaceted place of opportunity, energy, and culture. Additionally, it's the ideal location for any digital nomad who wants to lead an exciting life filled with work and leisure. Bangkok is a bustling city full of opportunities, excitement, and a diverse range of job opportunities. For the digital nomad who wishes to travel to Thailand and other Asian nations as well as Europe, Africa, and Australia, it's a great place. Bangkok is a distinctive, thriving metropolis with a wide variety of neighbourhoods and communities. Being surrounded by diverse people worldwide but still feeling at home might seem unrealistic until you reach Bangkok. The city is excellent for networking as well. It's teeming with other digital nomads who are building a strong community of nomads there. These communities will help you also connect with local entrepreneurs around. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires is the capital city of Argentina. It’s a lot like a European city but much more affordable and Latin-oriented. It is one of the most thriving digital nomad cities in South America. The place is known for its adventurous hikes and sunny beaches. You can find a lot of accommodation facilities like hostels and co-living spaces for as low as $20/ night. Look into Facebook groups for expatriate pages that might help you find decent accommodation facilities before travelling. Argentina is known for its wine production. You can enjoy good quality wines here. One can eat out in the local Parrillas which is super affordable too. While in the city, you should try Mate, which is a caffeine-rich tea-like beverage. When it comes to transport, it's super connected and the subway system here is called Sube. If you come to Buenos Aires, you cannot leave without learning Spanish and Tango! If you are into canals and waterways, take a train to Tigre. BA has a strong expatriate community and co-living, and co-working spaces as well. Buenos Aires is also known for its amazing European architecture and cultural life. It’s the second most visited city in Latin America. The city is hot and humid from December to March.

San Diego, California

Known as ‘America’s Finest City’ San Diego has a lot to offer for digital nomads. The city is bursting with world-famous attractions for everyone, including the zoo and the museums in Balboa Park, as well as a vibrant Downtown, beautiful hiking destinations, and more than 60 beaches. It has the best weather in all of the USA. If you want to relax in the sun, San Diego is the perfect place. It’s a major attraction for surfers and sunbathers across the world. Anywhere you travel in the city, you will see endless coastlines. One can also explore rolling hills, lakes, and many canyons if you are looking for adventures outside the beach. The Cowles Mountains are known for hiking and if you are someone who wants to go mountain biking, there are great regional park routes for that like Mission Trails. Since it's covered with coastlines, there are infinite water sports like kayaking, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, etc. Legoland is also another great attraction here. One of San Diego's coolest neighbourhoods is North Park. It’s known for its great cafes, craft beer bars, and curated boutique stores. It also has a vibrant nightlife.
