It's exciting to live a life of constant travel because you get to experience new places, cultures, and amazing people. But traveling for work can occasionally be really chaotic. You might find yourself in difficult situations and managing work while being in different time zones can be absolutely a messy affair. You might miss deadlines, miss flights, and miss family and friends. Sometimes staying away could make you feel FOMO. A lot of things can go wrong while juggling between travel and work. While you enjoy a certain amount of freedom being your own boss, it still comes with all these drawbacks. This is why it’s important to be efficient, and productive and manage your time while on the go. A lot of things can go wrong but if you have to keep your calm you need the right resources so that you don’t lose time, effort, or money while pursuing your goals as a digital nomad.

In the last blog, we talked about different websites and resources that might come in handy while you travel. We wanted to further explain more amazing websites/tools that will help you while on the road. Keep reading to know more and read our previous blog in which we have mentioned a couple of other websites and tools too.

1. RescueTime

A great challenge that all digital employees face is effective time management. How often have you noticed that despite spending more than 12 hours every day in front of your computer, nothing gets done? So it’s clearly not just you. A lot of us find it hard to manage time while working due to various distractions. It’s crucial to maintain an effective work-life balance and also maintain your productivity. Rescue Time helps you do just that. They assess your work style and meeting schedule, then combine those results with their analysis of over 3 billion hours of activity from people like you to give you a daily Focus Work Goal. You can monitor how much time you spend on all of your devices and see what’s taking up all your time. At the end of every week, you get a conclusion report that talks about your productivity. They analyze your focus and meeting schedule throughout the day to serve up insights and nudges to help you stay on track, as well as end-of-day summaries of how your day went. When you trigger a Focus Session, RescueTime blocks the sites that most negatively impact your focus. At the end of your session, they show you how that session compared to your average time (the difference will blow you away!)

2. XE Currency

A predicament most digital nomads face while traveling to another country is not knowing the exact exchange rates. You get these wonderful-looking currency notes but you have no idea of their value. XE is one of the most widely used currency conversion tools in the world. For digital nomads to handle the exchange rates of the numerous nations they travel to, Xe is a need. You may write in any amount and instantly have it converted back to your native currency (and numerous others) inside it after rapidly searching for the currency you're currently using. You will thus be aware of the precise amount the taxi driver intends to charge you before you step outside and begin negotiating. The platform supports over 130 nations and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and it changes its pricing every 60 seconds so you always have the most recent information. You may send and receive cross-currency money transfers using the app's send/receive function. Although you must register an account and go through KYC in order to use this function, it is only available in a few countries. The use of the app is free.

3. Tripit

One of the top trip planners available is Tripit. It works offline, is quick, and most importantly, is free. Just put an end to paperwork and misplaced emails. Send the app all of your booking confirmations, including those for hotels, flights, car rentals, and more, and let it create an easy-to-follow itinerary for you. Any device without an internet connection may access your data and be used to set up notifications. All information about your trip can be found now in one place. Tripit has an easy setup process and all your reservations are automatically uploaded to one place. You can manually edit any information and your trips are automatically organized into logical blocks. You can add your accommodation bookings, car rentals, travel confirmations, and more. It can also be shared with people who need to know where you are. It’s a great tool for someone who is constantly on the move. Some of the key features of Tripit include creating master itineraries and travel plans, and accessing important info like flight and hotel details, even when you are offline. It is available for Android and iOS, and even for smartwatches. How cool is that?!

4. InShot

If you are someone who loves to create content on the go, then InShot is a must-have tool. If you love documenting your journeys and like to share your nomadic experiences with people across the world, InShot offers a lot of features that might just be right for you. It’s easy to use and fast. Also, if you are someone who adores taking videos, InShot is ideal. With InShot, you can speed up, apply filters, and edit your video clip while also resizing your material to fit the size of social media. Even while you may do a lot with a free account, upgrading to a subscription plan will allow you to improve your editing. This is a well-known smartphone app for editing videos.

5. Worldpackers

If you are beginning your journey as a digital nomad, then hop onto this website. It’s the Holy Grail for most digital nomads across the globe. If you don't yet have enough jobs to properly support your expenses or occupy your time during the whole week, this is the platform to look out for. They are a website for job exchange with a work and travel app that will let you benefit from free lodging and, in some cases, meals, in return for assisting with specific duties. You will still have plenty of time to continue developing your internet business as the majority of jobs don't demand full-time commitments and some just call for 10 to 15 hours per week. While you adjust to the digital nomad lifestyle, using Worldpackers may also help you learn new skills, connect with like-minded others, and ideally have great experiences.

We hope these websites and tools really help you while on the go. Happy backpacking!
